Serving the Homeless
In South London
Glass Door is a homeless charity and London’s largest open-access network of emergency winter shelters and support services for men and women affected by homelessness. Their vision is to see London become a place where no one has to sleep on the streets. By partnering with churches to provide shelter and support, Glass Door is committed to supporting people to get – and stay – off the street. Guests of the emergency shelter receive a warm welcome, a hot supper, and a breakfast in the morning, cooked and served by volunteers. This winter, Glass Door has partnered with St. Peter’s Church in Battersea and V61 Church. We have two groups of volunteers who are giving their time fortnightly on a Tuesday from 19:00-21:30 to help support, serve and pray.
Sign ups for groups go live on 2nd January. If you are interested, please sign up HERE. If groups are full, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to be a reserve.
