Our Vision
We are an Isaiah 61 church on mission to bring life to our city, to bring hope to the hopeless, bind up the broken-hearted, and set the captives free! Keep reading to see the ways we are being a compassionate church and how you can get involved. We rely on a great team of volunteers to be able to run our projects, so if you’d like to help, we’d love to hear from you.
And if you’re in need, we’d love to help – just get in touch with us below.
Mercy Street
Mercy Street is a ministry that reaches out to people experiencing homelessness. When we go out, we practise ‘direct action’. This means we do what we can materially and spiritually at that point in time to alleviate suffering. We currently serve people in Battersea and Balham and hope to cover more areas over time.
The Hub
The Hub is a friendly and relaxed community where people from all walks of life can come together and belong. Stop by for a chat and a good cup of coffee every Monday from 11am-2pm. We have games, puzzles, bingo, laptops for job searching, and we have lunch together every week. You are so welcome to join us, we can’t wait to meet you!
Healing on the Streets
This is a simple but amazing ministry that creates opportunities for people to encounter God’s love and power on the streets of our city. Every time we go out we are able to powerfully express God’s love, simply by inviting people to sit on a chair so we can pray for them. Come and join in with what God is doing!
We’re committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children, young people, and vulnerable adults. Click here if you’d like a copy of our Safeguarding Policy. If you have questions or concerns please contact admin@vineyard61.org.
