VINEYARD KIDS

A Generation Changing The World

Our vision is to see God and His kingdom made real for children. We believe that God is not a distant figure kids learn about on a Sunday, but God can and wants to be experienced. We believe that kids can have a relationship with Him for themselves. Our aim is to create a safe space for that to happen.

KIDS ON A SUNDAY

We love families at V61 and believe God wants to meet with kids just as much as He wants to meet with adults. Our priority is creating safe spaces where children can experience God for themselves.

Our Sunday morning services at all three sites have dedicated kids sessions for 4-11-year-olds.

At our BALHAM SITE, we have a Parent and Baby Room available to use for 0 to 1.5-year-olds with a live stream from the service.

Then we have our Explorers Room for our 1.5-5-year-olds with an amazing team! That is located in the room directly in front of you when you walk out of the doors at the back of the hall.

Our Pioneer Kids, ages 6-11 years will be meeting in the chapel, down the corridor - past the loos and kitchen.

Hanaan Basma - Children's Ministry Overseer

Hanaan, alongside a wonderful team of volunteers, oversees our children’s ministries across all three sites. Please feel free to contact her if you have any questions.

MESSY SUNDAY

We also run Messy Sundays at West Side throughout the year. These are fun and creative mornings for the whole family to enjoy. We invite children and families from the local area to connect to the church and learn about Jesus in a relaxed and fun setting. Please invite your friends and family with kids as this is a brilliant opportunity for those who don’t normally attend Sunday services to get connected! To find out when our next Messy Sunday is please visit our church calendar.

KIDS DURING THE WEEK

We run a weekly Carers and Toddlers Group at our West Side site on Tuesday mornings between 10 am-12 pm. There’s free time to play, plenty of toys, singing, tea, coffee and biscuits, and space to chat and meet others. This runs during term time only. There is an optional donation of £3.

FAQs

Do volunteers get background checks?

Yes, we DBS check all our volunteers who work with our kids on Sundays.

How do I know if my child needs me?

When you drop your child off at kids church or in the creche we ask you to fill in a registration document with your contact details. If we need to contact you, a team member will come and get you in the service or call you directly.

What does my child need to bring to church?

There isn’t anything specific your child would need to bring to church. Feel free to bring anything that would make your child feel comfortable.

What are your nappy and bathroom policies?

We do not take children to the toilet, or change nappies. We ask you to take your child to the toilet before dropping them off at the kid's church, and a volunteer will come and find you if your child needs the toilet or a nappy change during a kids' session.

How does V61 handle allergies?

All adults dropping off their children in Kids Church or creche will need to fill in a registration form for their child, where information regarding allergies will be asked for. All kids team volunteers will be able to access these registration forms to check allergies. Please don’t hesitate to speak to our kids team who are volunteering on the morning that you are visiting about any concerns regarding allergies.
